Kitty-Kountry

Kitty-Kountry

Hi!

Welcome to Kitty-Kountry! My name is Carol McCrow and this is my blog. I am a seriously dedicated cat lover. I made this blog especially for my cats-- every last one of them!

I am a 49-year-old daughter, mother, and grandmother; I am divorced and rent a mobile home in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, about 20 miles west of Stevens Pass on Highway 2. It is absolutely beautiful up here and is very peaceful for the most part.

Two years ago, my mom moved in with me so I could care for her. I took the classes required and became her caregiver. She is on Medicare/Medicaid and in the COPES Program for Elderly Care. DSHS pays my wages for her.

If you are interested in more info concerning being a caregiver or getting a caregiver for you or someone you know, please see my blog entitled 'Caregiving And The Elderly' through my link below.

NOW..... BACK TO THE FURRY SUBJECT OF CATS!

I currently have the following cats:

  1. Tallon
  2. Buckwheat
  3. Ashes
  4. Holly
  5. Jack
  6. Missy
  7. TomCat
  8. Sadie
  9. Odie
  10. Bandit
  11. BoyCat
  12. WildCat-Bob
The last one mentioned is an older, big, and all-beat-up, thick-furred orange tomcat my neighbor friend John and I have been calling WildCat-Bob. He's between 4 and 5 years old and apparently the last of three kittens that had been dumped by some 'caring' soul.

I say it that way because any idiot in there right mind that dumps harmless kittens in the country MUST know more times than not they are just feeding those kittens to the raccoons or whatever critter requiring food happens by first. Granted, the area they were dropped off in is behind the town park which is located on a residential street. WildCat-Bob is the last of his litter because unfortunately his two identical brothers were both eventually hit by cars on the highway. More about WildCat-Bob later when his post comes out......

THE PLAN FOR KITTY-KOUNTRY BLOG

Okay, this is what I've decided to do. Each cat will have a post sub-titled with their name with all cat posts to be found under this blog entitled 'Kitty-Kountry'.

I am excited because I'll be loading each cat's picture/s onto their own post, giving them the ultimate personal touch! I was so thrilled when my 22-year-old daughter Azia (sounds like Asia) gave me my first digital camera for Christmas!! I've always wanted one, but just never had the money and the thought at the same moment, so I was one happy grinning mom and very thankful to Azia and her heartfelt gift. It was a Samsung Slimmed L830 in Red and I just loved that camera! I was able to get many pictures of my cats, my visiting raccoon buddies, and some very special family pictures of great importance to me, including my grandchildren.

My camera disappeared three weeks ago. I'm pretty sure I know who it left my house with but I haven't been able to find him. I know the camera is history anyway, I can be sure of that. I was crushed! It hurt my feelings terribly! I've decided I'm just going to replace it myself- get another one exactly like it. I can't afford it at the moment, so until then I'm going to make the most of the pictures I do have. Fortunately I'd loaded all of my pictures to my computer
before the camera disappeared!

I'll be working on these cat posts as often as my time allows. I hope you enjoy them! Please feel free to comment.

My name is Carol McCrow and I live in the Pacific Northwest. I work at home both as caregiver to my live-in mom and as an independent affiliate and advertiser online. I enjoy meeting others online that are doing similar work. I have much to accomplish yet and am working hard to keep focused and stay on a positive road toward success. I also have an overwhelming compassion for animals- especially the ones we domesticate and teach to rely on us. It means EVERYTHING to me that our pets get the quality care they deserve and need.
